The Toy Retailers Association has just announced its dream dozen Christmas toys for boys that Santa should bring this year. Most of these Christmas gifts for boys are from television or film related toy ranges. Ben 10, the boy’s range of the year, gets a mention along with Transformers, Star Wars and a few new-comers such as the new spinning top sensation called Battle Strikers. 2009 saw the revival of the popular Transformers series with the release of a new movie, Revenge of the Fallen. Accompanying the movie is a new line of updated Transformers 2 toys, action figures and other merchandise. They now feature motorised parts, lights and movie sound effects. The popular characters are still featured – Optimus Prime, the silver and red truck, Bumblebee, the yellow Camaro sports car and the leader of the baddies, Megatron, the battle tank.
