Have you heard of Bop It? If not, you’ve missed out on over 10 years of a highly addictive reaction game. But you’re just in time to experience the all new Bop It – a new version with a new look, predicted to be in the top 10 Christmas toys this year. It looks more like a musical instrument than the usual steering wheel shape game we are used to with Bop It Extreme 2, but with 1,000 levels and the new ‘Shout It’ command, this new ‘can’t be put down’ BopIt game will have you hooked before you know it.
So what is this new Bop It game and is it worth buying?

Have you seen children throwing a handful of small, colourful plastic figures up in the air and onto the ground lately? If so, you’ve probably witnessed the increasingly popular Gogos Crazy Bone game.

The Lego Minotaurus game has grown in popularity since being one of the top Christmas toys when it was new out in 2009. Despite the gloomy economic climate Lego, Europe’s biggest toymaker, is still doing well. It is probably no surprise that parents are ensuring their money is well spent on a trusted brand. You know you are getting a quality toy that is durable and will encourage creativity in your children.

“It’s Danny’s birthday soon Mum.”
“Oh, OK, what shall we get him?”
“He likes motorcycle toys”
“He does, oh dear ….” and this is how this blog post started.
I’m used to “He likes Ben 10 toys” or “He likes Transformers toys”, but motorbikes – well that threw me.
So after a few hours of research, here are my findings on what on earth you can buy if you need a motorbike toy.

Following the recent cinema release of the movie “G.I Joe – The Rise Of Cobra”, you can now buy all the movie related G.I Joe toys and accessories your little ones will no doubt desire. The military styled articulated action figures of G.I Joe (or Action Man as he was known in the UK) have been around for donkeys years and are arguably the best action figures of all time. The addition of this new line of figures and role play toys is sure to be a great draw for any boy.
So what are they all about and are they worth buying?

Mega Bloks Battle Strikers are set to be the next boys toys craze – they are a next generation battling top system that puts the power to control in your child’s hands. Spinning tops may seem like an old fashioned game but Mega Bloks have come up with a new innovation for this classic pastime – the first in over 50 years. There’s no longer any need for ripcords, the recently launched Magnext Battle Strikers are powered by magnetic technology. These battling tops are collectable, customisable and each version is calibrated differently to encourage skill development for competitive challenges. Battle Strikers are far removed from the ‘launch and watch’ tops of yesteryear. They are now a ‘launch, control and battle’ experience.
The Battle Strikers Tournament Set was tipped recently by Hamley’s to be number one in the top 10 Christmas toys this year. The Amazon Bestsellers list for Action Figures seems to concur with the set being Number 1 at the time of writing. With TV campaigns ongoing from now until Christmas you are sure to soon hear “I want one of those”. So what are they all about and are they worth buying?

I know it’s early to think about Christmas shopping but with the economy in the state it is, this year more than ever, everyone will be wanting to buy toys that are going to be more than a five minute wonder. So following Hamley’s recent guess at what will be the top 10 Christmas toys this year I am going to have at look at those that we might consider buying for our boys. At number 5 on the list is the VTech Kidizoom Multimedia Digital Camera. So what does it do, is it any good and are there any downsides?

“Ben 10 is without doubt the hottest boys’ brand of the moment”. This quote from Turner Broadcasting is hard to argue with. The Ben 10 10cm and 15cm Action Figures were selected as the “2009 Toy Of The Year” and the Ben 10 brand also scooped the “Boys’ Range Of The Year”. So what are Ben 10 toys all about and are they worth buying?
