1. What are Gogo’s Crazy Bones?
Gogos Crazy Bones are a collectable, mini game toy sensation. They are small, colourful figures, whose gaming origins date back to Ancient Greece, where children played by bouncing and throwing knuckle bones. These more refined, plastic characters are available in their hundreds, each one having a unique face and name. They have been released over the past few years in series. In 2009 Go Go Crazy Bones Explorer appeared (series 3) as well as the series 4 offering, Go Go Crazy Bones Power. This summer series 5 was released featuring characters from the England World Cup squad. But just recently we have seen Gogos Crazy Bones series 6 Superstars explode onto toy shop shelves.
These characters are generally bought in those little packs that you see in newsagents with stickers in. Each pack comes with 2 or 3 characters and stickers or trading cards and series 6 even comes with a Gogos cube for storage or display of your character. As with all these types of collectable figures you don’t get to see what’s in your packet before you buy it. If you buy more than one pack, undoubtedly you will end up with duplicates which will end up in a playground swapping craze.
Within each series there are a few rare crazy bones, sought after by avid collectors. If you’re lucky enough to nab one of these you might want to check on a few auction sites to see if you could sell it and make a tidy profit.
You had better hope your little terrors do not want to collect ALL of the unique figures as there are at least 80 in each set, and each one comes in 5 colours, making a whopping 400 to seek out, not to mention the rare ones on top of that.
If you think the collecting is over with the figures, think again. Not only do you get characters in your pack, you also get stickers, and obviously a few stickers won’t do, your little ones will need the lot.
So once you have bought a few of these harmless little packets what can you expect to see? Well you will probably notice your child walking round throwing handfuls of tiny, colourful figures about. Depending on how many of the games they’ve picked up in the playground, you may see them rolling them, catching them or just seeing how they land and quickly adding up their points compared to their friend.
2. For what age group are Gogos Crazy Bones suitable?
From 3 years old.
3. Are Gogos Crazy Bones any good?
Children love collecting and swapping toys and stickers and the fact that these crazybones packs are either affordable from pocket money or are seemingly affordable as a weekly treat, means their collection can keep expanding. The figures are small enough to carry out on trips and are colourful and durable. There are enough to collect to keep your child going until their interest naturally wanes.
The variety of games available to play with the little portable characters extends their life as a played with toy. As well as learning how to play, swap, collect and count with these appealing little characters, you can also invent other more educational games for your children. You can use them in sorting games, where they can sort by colour, personality, number etc. The books and albums that you can also buy encourage reading, writing and number skills.
4. How much do Gogos Crazy Bones cost?
Each single pack only costs about £1. Other items are available in the toy range which cost up to £20.

7. How does my child play with Gogos Crazy Bones?
To show your child you’re not an old fuddy duddy take a look at some of the Gogos Crazy Bones games below and surprise them with a new version to teach their friends.
- Traditional – throw your playing pieces up into the air and score points depending on how they land. You get 5 points for any that are standing up; 2 for any that are on their side; 1 for those that are face up and 0 for those that are face down.
- On-Line – throw your pieces towards a predetermined line and whoever gets the closest wins.
- Battle – line up your pieces and flick them towards your opponent’s pieces. You win if you knock over all the other pieces whilst one of your pieces is still standing.
- Bowling – a bit like 10 pin bowling, you stand a group of pieces together, throw another one at the group and score a point for each piece you knock down.
- Bomber – create a circle on the ground containing several pieces, then try and knock them out of the circle by throwing another piece at them. Stand the ones that fall over up again if they stayed in the circle. You win if you have the most pieces left standing.
- Airborne – line up five playing pieces, then throw one playing piece into the air. Before it lands try to grab another piece. If you miss, it is the next players turn. When you succeed at this, throw both pieces into the air whilst trying to get a third and so on.
- Basket – take a box and try to bounce your playing pieces into it. Whoever gets the most in, wins.
