Our thoughts
Popular with 5-12 year old Ben 10 fans, this "beat-em-up" platform game sees children charging about the screen as Ben 10, transforming from one alien form to another to defeat the villains that approach. The Omnitrix loses power when Ben is in alien form and he cannot transform when the power is all used up until the Omnitrix recharges. The recharge is quick but part of the ... More ...

#3 Ben 10 Laser Set
- Great action game for any Ben 10 fan
- Shoot your opponent and score hits on their infrared receiver
- Guns are chunky and durable
Children can battle against their friends with this Ben 10 Alien Force Laser Set. They shoot at their opponent to score hit on their infrared receiver - the first to score 8 hits wins. The laser guns are chunky and durable, perfect for indoor and outdoor use and are uniquely styled, complete with Ben 10 Alien Force motifs. The guns also have impact LED indicators to tell players if they have been hit as well as indicators to tell them how much ammo they have remaining. There are four lights on the back of each gun - each time you are hit a light either flashes or stays lit. When they are all lit, the gun makes a 'you're dead' noise and the game is up! To start again you just press the reset button. The toys give out cool lights and sound effects during play to add to the fun.
Our thoughts
This is a great action game for any Ben 10 Alien Force fan. The guns have a cool futuristic design and offer a fun way to encourage active play. They are quite large and need 4 AA batteries each which are not included so plan ahead to avoid disappointment. The sound effects are realistic to shooting in space and quite loud. The infrared seems to work pretty well and the game offers lots of fun running about and hiding from your opponent. The only downside is the price is a bit high.
#4 Ben 10 Alien Force Quickshot Game
- Fast moving two player action game
- Blast marbles from your high powered hand controller
- Features Ben 10 and popular aliens
This is a fast moving two player action game where you blast marbles from your high powered hand controller. The aim is to shoot down all of your opponents pieces before they shoot yours. Ben 10 and a lot of the well known TV show characters are featured. The box contains the game base, two shooters, 32 marbles, 16 characters and stands and a rule book. The games is for children aged 6+.
The board is a bit like a hollow, plastic case with holes in the top where you place the Ben 10 alien picture cards on stands. The guns are at either end and you fill these with little balls. When you pull the trigger, the balls fire into the case and hit little levers attached to the cards. When you get a direct hit the little cards fly into the air and are out of play. Any fired balls roll back into a tray by the gun, so you can reload when necessary. The aim is to be the first to hit and release all of the other players cards.
Our thoughts
The game is very easy to set up and simple to play yet highly addictive. You will be able to play against your childen easily without annoying them by winning all the time as the game is more about speed than skill. It is fairly well made and is a lot of fun for a few quick games. You do not need to worry about the little balls too much as being fired into the case, not too many get away and roll around your floor.
On the downside, the trigger can be a bit hard to fire for children under 5 and the game is over very quickly. To make it last longer, you could each take aimed shots but children typically want to just repeatedly fire until all the aliens have been blasted into the air.
#5 Ben 10 Top Trumps
- Includes cards of all the most popular Ben 10 characters
- Helps children think about values and encourages competition
- Try out the new 3D version
There are two sets of Ben 10 Top Trumps to choose from – the original and the 3D Alien Force version. Each set features cards with characters from the relevant cartoon series. Can you trump your opponent’s card in categories such as Mischief & Mayhem, Strength and Freakiness? The 3D version allows you to show a card to your webcam. You will then be asked a series of questions and you have to find the answer using the cards in your pack. Hold up the magic symbol cards facing the webcam and a 3D image will appear on the screen telling you what to do next. More ...
Our thoughts
Top Trumps is easy, fun to play and very addictive. It is a good little present with attractive and detailed artwork. Just looking through the cards gives children plenty of fun and then playing the game as well keeps them quiet for ages. It will help them to learn to read as well as think about values and create competition. Ease of portability on trips including in car play, makes this cheap little gift a fantastic choice.

#8 Ben 10 Total Transformation Game
- Perform imaginary transformations into your favourite Ben 10 aliens
- Fight the villains
- Great for social interaction
The Ben 10 Total Transformation game features a three-dimensional Omnitrix that tells players which alien they turn into. Will it be the one they need to fight the villain they just encountered? If it is, they've captured it and continue on to their next challenge. For 2 - 4 players, aged 7 years and over.
Our thoughts
The game is pretty mediocre. Some children will find it boring and adults playing with them definitely will. On a positive note, it is a game that children play as a group so is good for social interaction and learning to take turns. There are a lot of pieces (stickers, dice, playing pieces etc) so keep an eye on your children when they open it or the bits will be lost forever. You may find your child has more fun with the monsters and other pieces than the game itself.
#9 Ben 10 DVD Game
- Play mini games such as testing your fire skills with Heatblast
- Features TV show clips
- Randomisation means you get a different game each time
Featuring clips from the hit Cartoon Network show, this Ben 10 DVD game lets players master the powers of 10 different aliens. Move along the virtual game board and test your skills in exciting mini-games. Fourarms will take you through the strength game. Heatblast will test you on fire skills. Navigate through the game with the help of Ben, Max and Gwen, obtaining powers as you go. The ultimate goal is to defeat Vilgax and the rest of the villains and restore peace to the world. The tests you encounter are completely random so each time you play you get a different game. For 1 - 4 Players. 7 Years +.
Our thoughts
This game is, at best, OK but really a bit boring and repetitive. As with all DVD games, the game play is not too challenging - you just get to click here and there on the mini-games. In fact pressing the remote control button very fast for a minute or so is all it takes! For not much more money you can buy one of the two video games, which contain a lot more interaction and long lasting fun. This DVD game takes quite a while to get through and is difficult to win.
#10 Ben 10 Aliens v Villains Game
- Ben 10 board game
- Battle villains using the power of the Omnitrix
In this Ben 10 board game you have to be the first player to successfully battle four villains using the power of the Omnitrix (five in a two-player game). The box contains the game board, an Omnitrix card, alien and villain cards, dice and playing pieces. For ages 7+.
Our thoughts
The game play is disappointing. You roll the dice and move your playing piece trying not to lose the stand it sits on. You then turn over a card to see if it matches and roll another dice to see if you can keep the card. That is supposed to be the battle - hardly action filled as you would have expected from Ben 10. The cards are also flimsy so would break if you ever played the game more than once.
